The Culinary Tourism Alliance is a globally recognized leader in connecting the people, places, and tastes of a region. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking passionate, committed individuals to help shape the future of culinary tourism in Canada. We invite nominations for individuals who can help guide the strategic direction of the Culinary Tourism Alliance and contribute meaningfully to our work.
At our Annual General Meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025, elections will take place for three (3) open positions on our Board of Directors.

Candidates must be from a member organization in good standing.
Please complete the Nomination Submission Form AND email your resumé/CV to rebecca@culinarytourismalliance.com no later than June 10, 2025.
Candidates will be interviewed as part of the selection process. Interviews will be held in June and July, 2025.

Priority Areas and Competencies
To ensure a broad and inclusive representation, we are prioritizing nominations from candidates based in:
New Brunswick
Newfoundland and Labrador
Prince Edward Island
Saskatchewan
Manitoba
The Territories (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut)
In addition, we are particularly seeking individuals from:
Academic institutions (with experience in tourism, hospitality, agrifood, or economic development)
Indigenous tourism organizations or communities
For this election cycle, we are particularly seeking individuals with expertise in:
Destination Development (with a focus on culinary and agritourism initiatives)
Sales and Revenue Generation
What You Need to Know
Directors will have the choice of committing to a 2-year or 3-year term, with a maximum service limit of six (6) consecutive years
The Board meets virtually four (4) times per year, with the potential of one in-person meeting. Board meeting dates are generally set a year in advance
Directors are asked to strive for 100% attendance
All Directors are expected to participate actively on at least one Standing or Ad-Hoc Committee.
An onboarding session will be provided for new Directors.
All Directors must adhere to the CTA’s Code of Ethics and Conflict of Interest Guidelines.
