WE ARE PEOPLE PERSONS.

The Professional Services team is the brains of the operation and the method behind the madness. They strategize for us and support others in our network who are looking to grow food tourism and empower those along the culinary tourism value chain.

The CTA Network is the beating heart of the operation. It’s brought to life through events and gatherings where we share our knowledge and build meaningful relationships.

Marketing are the hard-working hands of the operation. They (energetically) tell stories and are constantly tweaking what we do, how we do it, and how we tell people about it.

Programs are the feet of the operation. They are the boots on the ground, mobilizing our network. They ground our work in grassroots tactics and keep us going.

Our Team Culture

Values-Driven, Inclusive, and Equitable

At the CTA, we lead with our values, proving that they’re not just ideals, they're imperatives. We are a Rainbow Registered organization through the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, reflecting its deep commitment to 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion. We also actively participates in the 50/30 Challenge, working toward gender parity and increased leadership representation for underrepresented groups. The internal DEI Committee, which includes staff, board members, and industry partners, champions inclusive hiring, organizational policies, and reconciliation action planning.

Remote-First, and Human-Centred

We believe that people thrive when they’re trusted, supported, and inspired. As a remote-first organization, we offer flexible work schedules that align with real life, not the other way around. We prioritize mental health and well-being with meaningful benefits, ample time off, and a culture that encourages rest as much as results. As a Living Wage Certified employer, we’re committed to fair compensation, and we invest in our team’s growth through ongoing professional development opportunities. Just as important, we make time to connect—whether it’s virtual coffee chats or in-person retreats—because strong teams are built on more than just shared calendars.

Sustainability

At the CTA, purpose drives everything we do, including how we care for people and planet. We’re proud to be GreenStep Gold Certified and to partner with Carbon Zero to reduce our environmental impact through initiatives like green commuting and carbon offsetting. We also actively integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into our work, using them as a compass to guide responsible practices across our operations and partnerships.
