Feast On® the Farm is a
two-day zero-waste fundraiser event series.

Consumer Day

A true celebration of locally sourced, ethically farmed ingredients, guests enjoy a selection Ontario craft beer, wine, cider, and spirits and indulge in curated dishes by some of Ontario’s top chefs.

Guests learn about regenerative and organic agriculture practices through interactive light-touch educational sessions and are encouraged to "stay and play" in the region.

Every Consumer Day ticket supports the industry by subsidizing the cost for industry professionals to attend Industry Day the following day.

Industry Day

Anchored by hands-on workshops, spirited presentations, and round table discussions, Industry Day is for folks to learn about incorporating local Ontario ingredients into their menus and implementing sustainable practices in their businesses through the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Industry Day is open to all industry professionals, not just Feast On® certified stakeholders. Attendees enjoy a day of recharging, knowledge sharing, and of course - great food. A local Chef is recruited to provide lunch on Industry Day, furthering economic impact on the local community.


Zero. Waste.

Carbon Neutrality

Carbon credits are purchased to offset the carbon emissions produced by travel for all event guests and team members, as well as all event-related carbon emitted at each event venue.

Packaging

Single-use plastic and straws of any kind are not used at the event. In addition to using either reusable/biodegradable plateware, glassware, and napkins, Chefs are also encouraged to create edible vessels in their dishes.

Food Rescue

Whenever possible, we work with Second Harvest and  FoodRescue.ca to rescue all remaining food items, providing the food has not been exposed to the public and has been stored safely throughout the day.

Promotional Materials

The event uses limited paper collateral and minimal signage. Nothing custom is created for each event, only reusable, pre-existing destination promotional materials are used. Paper programs are not used at the event.

Sustainable Development Goals

Programming on both Consumer Day and Industry Day is centred around four of the seventeen UN SGDs. Past topics have included regenerative and vertical farming, working toward living wages, sourcing sustainable seafood and lake fish, and the journey to becoming a zero-waste establishment.
